Editorial Standards & Source Policy
These standards explain how we create, review, source, update, and correct the practical marketing guidance published by 530 Ventures.
Our commitment
Our goal is to help business owners make better decisions—not to make marketing sound easier or more certain than it is. We separate practical opinion from external evidence, add context to results, and correct material errors when they are identified.
Authorship and review
530 Ventures resources are written or reviewed by Arun Gopalakrishnan. Where another contributor is involved, the page should identify that person and their role. We do not use invented experts, anonymous reviewers, or fabricated credentials.
Sources and quantitative claims
When a guide relies on third-party data, research, platform documentation, or a benchmark, we aim to link to the original or most authoritative available source. A statistic without a link should be treated as directional context—not as an independently verified fact or a promise.
Client results and case studies
Case studies should explain the client context, work performed, relevant timeframe, and measurement limitations. Results vary by market, offer, budget, competition, execution, and starting point. Past results do not guarantee a similar outcome.
Dates, updates, and corrections
A published or updated date is shown only when it is known. We do not assign a fresh date merely to make an older article appear current. Material corrections should be made promptly; older resources are being reviewed against these standards in priority order.
AI-assisted work
AI may help with research organization, outlines, or editing. A human remains responsible for the final page, source selection, recommendations, and corrections. We do not treat AI-generated statements as sources.
Request a correction
If you find a factual error, broken source, unclear disclosure, or result that needs more context, tell us which page and passage you are referring to. We will review it and make a correction when warranted.
